Neurosurgery
With Integrated Care, Collocated Expertise and Connected Teams
The HKSH Neurosurgery Centre was established in 2021. It is a hospital based centre, with outpatient clinics, neuro-imaging facilities, surgical operation suites, wards, and other specialities geographically collocated within the same hospital compound. Such a set up facilitates intra-team and multi-disciplinary team collaboration, prompt access to state-of the-art technology, and enhanced patient journey, safety and outcome.
Together with the HKSH Clinical Neuroscience Centre, regular meetings on combined neurology-neurosurgery topics, neuro-oncology, and stereotactic radiosurgery (the latter in conjunction with the HK Neurosurgical Society) are hosted for academic exchange and continuing medical education (CME).
