The HKSH Neurology Centre was established in 2014. It provides wide-ranging diagnostic and therapeutic services for different neurological disorders, including cerebrovascular diseases, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, headaches, and autoimmune neurological disorder
 

A neurological disorder manifests itself through a wide range of symptoms and functional disturbances. These can include:

  • Trouble walking

  • Clumsy and/or abnormal movement

  • Seizure

  • Trouble with speech and/or swallowing

  • Visual disturbance not due to primary eye disorder

  • Memory and other cognitive dysfunction

  • Focal or generalised muscle weakness

  • Focal or generalised sensory disturbance

  • Headache and facial pain

Facilities

We offer a wide range of neurophysiological examinations conducted by qualified specialists: 

  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Nerve Conduction Study (NCS)
  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Visual Evoked Potential (VEP)

Clinical Neuroscience

Our Neurology Centre is part of the HKSH Clinical Neuroscience Centre, established in September 2021. The vision of the Clinical Neuroscience Centre is to provide one-stop multidisciplinary care and achieve professional excellence in the treatment of patients affected by various disorders of the nervous system.
