Post-natal rehabilitation 

The post natal period is the period following delivery, during which the new mother’s body begins to recover and returns to normal. 

This is an important time for a woman and her new-born to set the foundation for long-term health and well-being. 

Women can experience a variety of conditions during their post-natal period, including

 

Blocked Milk Ducts/ Mastitis

Patients with blocked milk ducts will be scheduled as soon as possible for a physiotherapy session to minimise the risk of progression to mastitis.

Research had shown physiotherapy treatments can significantly reduce pain levels and difficulties in breast feeding, as well as significantly increase confidence in ability to manage breastfeeding.
