Led by Professors and highly experienced specialists, the division offers comprehensive colorectal surgery services, treating a full range of lower gastrointestinal conditions and providing advanced surgical procedures. 

Conditions Treated

• Benign Conditions: Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), diverticular disease, pelvic floor disorders, rectal prolapse, colonic volvulus, complicated hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulas, anorectal abscesses, and pilonidal disease.
• Premalignant & Malignant Conditions: Colon, rectal, and anal dysplasia; complex colonic polyps; colon cancer; rectal cancer; anal squamous cell carcinoma; colorectal gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST); and presacral/retrorectal tumors. 
   

Procedures Offered

• Anorectal & Pelvic Floor Surgery: Endorectal flap procedures, sphincter-sparing fistula repairs (LIFT/VAAFT), hemorrhoidectomy/stapled hemorrhoidopexy, and ventral mesh rectopexy for rectal prolapse.
• Minimally Invasive & Laparoscopic Surgery: Laparoscopic and robotic colectomy (right, left, sigmoid, transverse), total abdominal colectomy, and laparoscopic diverticulitis resection.
• Advanced Oncologic & Endoscopic Surgery: Transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEMS/TAMIS), low anterior resection (LAR) with total mesorectal excision (TME), abdominoperineal resection (APR), total proctocolectomy with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (J-pouch), and advanced polypectomy/EMR.
