The big day is fast approaching, so you may be wondering when is the best time to go to the hospital.
For Normal Delivery admission, please contact the Maternity Unit at 39663270 if you have any inquiries.
If a Caesarean section is arranged, please go to 27/F Maternity Unit on your scheduled date of admission (or for surgery before 12:00 noon, or after 18:00 the day before).
If you experience a sudden onset of labour pains or SROM, please contact us immediately.
Items to bring upon admission:
- Couples’ identification documents (Expectant mothers should provide a valid identity document upon admission. For non-permanent Hong Kong Identity Card holders, valid permission of stay issued by the Immigration Department should also be provided.)
- Doctor's letter of admission
- Laboratory test reports of the expectant mother
- Personal items: Pyjamas, robe, slippers and underwear/toiletries/ maternity pads
- An abdominal binder in case of caesarean section (available for sale in hospital)
- Items for baby: clothing and a shawl for the baby (for use upon discharge)
Remarks : Do not keep valuables with you in hospital during hospitalisation.
