Clinical Affiliation Scheme

The Clinical Affiliation Scheme (CAS) will be launched in April 2023 to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions. Under CAS, HKU will assign medical professoriate staff/ practitioners and nursing practitioners to provide clinical services at HKSH facilities, i.e. Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, HKSH Eastern Medical Centre and HKSH Healthcare medical centres. It allows HKU staff to take advantage of wider exposure to different clinical situations and healthcare settings, thereby enhancing their professional skills and research capabilities. For the growing cohort of HKU medical students, CAS will also provide more clinical teachers and support broader undergraduate medical education with training in the state-of-the-art establishments of HKSH.
