Salary and Benefits

We offer competitive remuneration packages and benefits for our staff members. Basic salaries are computed with reference to the prevailing Master Pay Scale (MPS) of Civil Service Bureau except for supporting staff. With satisfactory performance, one’s salary will normally advance one increment a year within one’s respective scale until it reaches the maximum point.
Salary
Our remuneration package includes the basic salary (based on the Master Pay Scale of Civil Service Bureau), monthly allowance, end- of-year payment or end-of-contract gratuities (equivalent to approximately 1 month of basic salary), bonus and other allowances (if applicable).
Benefits
We offer competitive staff benefits packages:

Holiday
Employees with salaries based on the MPS are entitled to 18 or 25 days of paid annual leaves (based on rank), maternity leave, paternity leave and compassionate leave.

Medical Benefits
Staff members are entitled to free consultations and medication at the Outpatient Department as well as free inpatient accommodation; immediate family members enjoy special discounts at the Outpatient Department and for hospital stays.

MPF Scheme
On top of the mandatory contributions, additional voluntary contributions can be arranged.

Other Benefits
Staff meal discounts.
Work Hours
Five days, or a total of 40 hours per week
(1 lunch hour per day)

To recognise the contribution and foster a sense of belonging among our staff, Long Service Awards with a commemorative gold pin will be presented every year to those who have served HKSH for 10, 20, 30 and 40 years.

Retirement Benefits
Any of retired staff members who have served HKSH for 30 years or above are eligible for using a medical card. The retirees are entitled to enjoy special discounts in medical services and will be invited to attend special anniversary events of HKSH.
