Dr. Walton LI, Chief Executive Officer of HKSH Medical Group and Medical Superintendent of Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, was invited to speak at Metro Finance Radio Programme. Dr. LI shared that HKSH’s commitment to serving patients in Hong Kong and the region remains steadfast despite economic ups and downs in the last century. HKSH has progressively introduced medical services and advanced technologies to meet changing demand and expectations of patients. HKSH Cancer Centre in A Kung Ngam was opened in 2019 with the state-of-the-art facility to offer the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for cancer management, while a new hospital campus in A Kung Ngam is in the pipeline with in-patient facilities and Hong Kong’s first proton therapy.
With the latest medical advancements in place, Dr. LI reiterated HKSH's dedication to patient-centric culture. “Our patients will never walk alone,” added Dr Li, "because case nurses are assigned to take patients through their treatment pathway from diagnosis to recovery." HKSH will continue to fulfill its mission in serving the medical needs of the community and driving medical innovation as we move into the next century.
