Iris Recognition Technology

Iris recognition technology is another latest tracking technology. The unique iris structure of each eye is mapped and recorded in an examination before the operation. During the operation, the laser will automatically check the iris structure and confirm the eye to be treated. It can also best align the eye position according to the recognized iris structure to ensure the accuracy of treatment. However, iris recognition technology has its limitations. For small eyes or eyes with lashes obstructing iris details, the iris structures may not be recognized. If pupil shapes vary greatly before and after dilation, the iris structures will also be very different before and after dilation. For eyes with big pupils, the iris structures are difficult to recognize. In all these conditions, iris recognition technology may not be used.
